![]() ![]() so its how the game is optimized nothing to do with unreal engine blal. I disagree, its about T6 to be more optmized, your answer is not 100% correct, some players can run games that required more requirments then T6. Αναρτήθηκε αρχικά από Kunovega:What is there to fix? The game requires a discreet graphics card, every game built in Unreal Engine 4 requires a discreet graphics card, this is a fundamental requirement for the majority of games built in any graphics intensive engine Laptops are notorious for being underpowered, especially if they only use onboard graphics solutions, typically they are 5 to 10 years behind in performance capability and you are paying for the convenience of mobility. Although with a c940 that still might be pushing your limits. Perhaps you should consider trying older games with even lower hardware requirements, Tropico 5 only requires dx11, which will run on a low end system with hardware similar to what was available in 2010 (10 years ago). Tropico 6 isn't even that high end, the minimums are equal to low end gaming computers from 6 years ago (The GTX 750 minimum required was a low end budget tier card from 2014) Games have requirements, if your hardware is not capable of running them, they simply will not work. If you expect to play anything but the most basic or very old games you should learn to read minimum system requirements, they have been posted on store pages since the beginning of online sales for games I didn't try the GOG support suggestion of installing Directx 9.0c since the store page said Tropico 6 uses DirectX 11.What is there to fix? The game requires a discreet graphics card, every game built in Unreal Engine 4 requires a discreet graphics card, this is a fundamental requirement for the majority of games built in any graphics intensive engine I've also just tried the GOG support suggestion of installing the Visual C++ 2015 redistributable, as well as trying the latest 2015-2019 version from: This issue was mentioned on Steam at the end of December so it is not just the GOG version:ĭo you have any suggestions for trying to resolve that issue? We have tried the general suggestions you made on a different Steam thread of setting compatability to Windows 7, run as administrator, disable antivirus, installed latest drivers, and we do not use Asus Aura. The mouse pointer goes away part of the way into the loading and my GPU's coil whine increases at that point. There is never a "Press any button to continue" message and pressing buttons anyway after the loading bar is filled does nothing. cheers The main issue of this thread is not related to the leap year bug but is that loading a new game does not complete. As be aware that this problem was releated most likely to the leap year, specifically the 29th February, yet the problem more or less fixed itself on 1st March already. hopefully there is some way around this issue. ![]() However, since I have the other five I didn't really think I would need to refund. I was going to wait until the price came down due to the too rapid (IMO) DLC release that should have been part of the base game but decided to get it (without DLC) after the new refund policy was announced (although I did get the El Prez edition and have the slight bonus content installed if that matters). However, the process stats in task manager and GPU activity in the AMD WattMan still vary some after that both as it is loading and after the bar reaches the end. ![]() My GPU's coil whine also increases as that point and watching the task manager it seems to have a brief "not responding" at that point. I'm guessing that is when something goes wrong. I notice that not long into the loading the mouse stops appearing on the screen. Although it isn't the 29th for me quite yet I tried changing the date (before noticing the older steam post) just to make sure it isn't related but it didn't help). 29, but setting the date to another day fixes it. (As a side note I also noticed looking at steam forums that it is crashing for people on Feb. It looks like all four of us with the issue have a G series CPU, although not the same CPU or generation and we have all disabled the internal GPU and use an external card (AMD in my case, NVIDIA for everyone else). There is also a steam thread about this issue a while back with no solution: I've tried Windows 7 compat mode, run as administrator, and turned off antivirus as they suggest on in a Steam thread (for a different issue): R9 390 GPU with 8GB, 16GB main memory, G3900 CPU (slightly below spec but I don't see how that could be the issue). I have the same issue on a fully offline Windows 10 system (1803, somewhat old).
